Dr. Baizid Khoorshid Riaz is a distinguished public health specialist and healthcare leader from Bangladesh, currently serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOH&FW), Mohakhali, Dhaka. He holds an MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College, a Master’s in Public Health & Hospital Administration from Nagoya University, Japan, and a PhD from the University of Dhaka. With extensive experience in public health administration, Dr. Riaz has served in senior leadership roles, including Additional Director General (Administration) at the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) and Director and Professor at the National Institute of Preventive & Social Medicine (NIPSOM) in Dhaka. He has led numerous research projects, contributed to peer-reviewed studies, and played a pivotal role in shaping health education and policy in Bangladesh, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to strengthening healthcare systems and advancing community well-being.
